Conservative Treatment Approach

At Goldenberg Orthodonics, our promise is to present you with the most honest and research driven recommendations.

Orthodontics is more than just braces. It focuses on the growth and development of the jawbone and makes recommendations for treatment based on those changes. At Goldenberg Orthodontics, we focus on non-invasive procedures that help correct the misalignment of teeth and avoid tooth extractions as much as possible. We also believe in starting treatment when we feel it is necessary.

Invisalign®

If you want to make your smile healthier and straighter discreetly, Invisalign is perfect for you. Invisalign is an ideal way to correct mild to moderate teeth misalignment using a series of clear aligners made precisely to gradually and gently move the teeth to their ideal positions. These clear aligners are virtually invisible, removable, and more comfortable than metal braces.

Braces

Conventional

Conventional braces are the most common way to straighten teeth and have been around for several years. However, modern metal braces are much more comfortable and smaller than those used in the past. If you choose metal braces, you can choose fun colored elastics to give your smile a colorful, unique look.

Lingual

These braces are invisible and are an excellent alternative for patients who aren’t suitable for Invisalign aligners. They are placed behind the teeth and made with cutting-edge technology, customized 100% to your teeth. Lingual braces will be made to your unique prescription to achieve the perfect result, giving you effective and efficient tooth movement without compromising aesthetics.

Ceramic

Ceramic braces are made from clear or tooth-colored materials. Therefore, it will be much less visible than a metal brace. Adults and teenage patients with aesthetic concerns often choose ceramic braces. However, they are larger than metal braces, so oral hygiene requires special attention. Ceramic brackets are also more fragile.

Treatment for all ages.

Early Treatment

The AAO (American Association of Orthodontists) suggests that children should visit their orthodontist for screening by age 7. An early visit will enable us to determine whether treatment is required and, if so, when the right time for that treatment to occur. If treatment is unnecessary, we will schedule monitoring every 6 to 8 months to observe their development while they grow.

When treatment occurs at an early age, the lower and upper dental arch may be expanded to increase the space for the permanent teeth, to reduce the chance of requiring extraction of permanent teeth, to reduce the chances of permanent teeth being impacted, to correct any thumb sucking behaviors, and to eliminate any abnormal speech or swallowing problems.

Teens

The teenage years are the most common time for orthodontic treatment because most or all of the permanent teeth are present in the mouth. This is also the time when your children feel the most self-conscious about their smiles.

There is a wide range of orthodontic treatment options available for teen patients today. The chosen appliance will depend on specific dental needs of the patient and the goals of completing the treatment. Some of the most common orthodontic solutions we offer are Invisalign Teen, braces, and teeth whitening.

Adults

Although many people think that orthodontics is only for teenagers and children, in fact, 20% of patients receiving orthodontic treatments are adults! Many adults today seek orthodontic treatment to correct issues they may have had since childhood.

With the advancements in Orthodontics, we can now provide orthodontic solutions to adults with busy lifestyles who prefer a discreet way to straighten teeth, such as Invisalign and Lingual Braces. Having a healthy, straight smile doesn’t just improve your appearance – it also improves your overall dental and systemic health. You can brush and floss your teeth easily and efficiently with a straighter smile, preventing dental and gum diseases from developing.

Teeth Whitening

Professional teeth whitening is carried out in our office to remove discolorations on your teeth and result in a brighter smile within just 60 minutes – perfect if you have an event coming up! It uses a highly concentrated whitening gel to effectively remove stains and give you a brighter, whiter smile. It’s important to be aware that teeth whitening won’t last forever. The result may last a year or more, but the length will depend on your personal habits.

Mouthguards & Retainers

Protecting your teeth is absolutely vital during their orthodontic treatment, and here at Goldenberg Orthodontics, we’re delighted to offer the highest-quality mouthguards if you engage in any contact sports. When a mouth guard is fitted and supplied by an orthodontist, the impression is taken from your own teeth, which ensures a perfect fit.

Retainers, on the other hand, are made to “protect” your investment. After removing your orthodontic appliance, you’ll be given retainers to keep your teeth in place while your bone and gums heal. If you don’t wear your retainers, your teeth may move again and require another treatment.

Impression Free Office

Here at Goldenberg Orthodontics, we’re proud to offer the iTero Digital Impressions technology to benefit our patients. Thanks to this state-of-the-art digital system, there’ll be no more unpleasant taking impressions with putty these days. Our scanner will capture all the tooth contours and the gingival structures to produce the most accurate digital scans in just minutes. The procedure is non-invasive and perfect for any patient who plans to have Invisalign treatment.
